Tempest of Authority

Uncategorized

“To know the tempest at the height of glorious might; where the froth foam sprays and the dark chroma of its raging bearer betrays it’s attempted authority.”

When Jesus and His disciples were in their boat during a terrible storm that threatened to swamp them, Jesus Christ was sleeping peacefully. His disciples came, and for fear of the storm awoke Him crying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”

The Lord rebuked them asking, essentially, if you are My disciples why do you fear?  I can see why the Lord might be asking them, is your belief in Me vain?

“To know the tempest at the height of glorious might, where the froth foam sprays and the dark chroma of its raging bearer betrays it’s attempted authority.”

The storm that raged about them was attempting to claim authority over them in its fierceness. The disciples had not yet recognized that Jesus was the Christ who has authority even over the wind and wave.

But, we who are Christ’s do know. And we are sure of the authority of Jesus Christ in continuing fullness of understanding and evidence daily. Therefore, let not our belief in Jesus Christ be found to be in vain during the contentious storms that would tear us assunder in our own lives.

Understand that we already have authority in Jesus Christ over every storm that comes against us. The storms brought on by ignorant callous, and apathetic regard; which regard brings the angry waves of confusion and unrelatable suffering of that within you. Those where the consequence of continuingly ignored injustices crush the spirit; and where the ravening threatens to unhinge the mind to claim victory.

“To know the tempest at the height of glorious might, where the froth foam sprays and the dark chroma of its raging bearer betrays it’s attempted authority.”

“Love one another as I have Loved you.” spoke our Lord. Jesus came full of grace and truth. And of His fullness we have received, and grace for grace. Therefore, having this excellent and graciously merciful example set before us, let us likewise with tenderest embracing, Love one another in the fullness thereof.

  1. After reading you post a scripture came to my mind: “For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.” (1 John 3:20KJV). Some of these frightening storms my come up inside of ourselves. It is good if we then also put our trust in the Lord.

    1. Hello Dear. I do not often interact, but I just wanted, first to extend warm greetings, and second to say yes you are exactly correct. This, too, is what I have learned aad what i attempted to portray.

We fight a battle the likes of which few are truly aware. Being content to believe only that tomorrow will come, but not with that which comes with and in it. And, that one day, not even tomorrow will come. Not in the comfortable blindness preferred by so many.

Better to open ones eyes now. EVEN now the glory of the Lord is shed abroad and throughout the earth. Every day mercy still lives and our God still Loves. The flowers still bloom and the gazelle runs free. Every day, and more and more I do see that others also are speaking out and standing on words and principles of truth. THE truth.

Yes, tomorrow will come my friend. And, when that final tomorrow comes it will come with victory.

May the grace and truth of our Lord Jesus Christ continue to be with you dear. And, thank for posting your comment.
